Curiosity is a free, growing library for curious people aged roughly 9 to 18 — and anyone else. It began as a project for one family’s children and their friends and relatives.
It is organised by ideas, not school years or exam boards. Each topic has up to five depths — Discover, Understand, Investigate, Go deeper and Extend — and every depth is open to everyone. Depth belongs to the topic, not to the learner: nobody is labelled as “a level 2 learner”.
How content is reviewed
How lessons are made
Lessons are drafted on the library owner’s own computer with the help of an AI writing assistant, then checked by a person before they are published. There is no chatbot on this site and no AI runs while you read. “Simpler explanation”, “Another example” and “Hint” buttons show text written in advance as part of the lesson.
Every lesson lists its sources and shows whether it has been reviewed. If you spot a mistake, paired learners and families can report it from the lesson page.
Boundaries
What this is not
It isn’t a school, a course with compulsory steps, a test-prep service or a social network. There are no leaderboards, streaks, adverts or public profiles.
